The Client
Ellison Meat Company was founded in 1934. The company is located in Pipestone, Minnesota, and is dedicated to raising the highest quality livestock and producing flavorful, healthy and nourishing food in the industry.
The Challenge
Our team was commissioned in March of 2002 to develop a web site that would primarily share information with the company's clientele, create brand awareness and emphasize the company's product consistency and high standards. The project included the development of an e-commerce section and one for upcoming events.
The Results
Our team flew to Minnesota to meet with every key person and immerse ourselves in the business culture of the company. We came back to San Diego and got to work with the sole objective to create the most fresh and functional site in Pipestone’s industry. We combined a visual experience with a clear and concise message, highlighting the company's mission: "Raising the highest quality livestock and producing flavorful, healthy, and nourishing food." An interactive section was created, with chat rooms, guest books, upcoming events and customized forums.
The web site was launched in October of 2002. The company's investment return was 65 days, and the site has established a new way of doing business in its industry.
