santex-net launches The Baer Project web site
Agency contributes design and online marketing expertise to help a nonprofit organization expand its sponsorships

SAN DIEGO, CA (June 15, 2005)

Santex-net, a full-service international web design agency specializing in online marketing solutions, today announced the launch of its latest endeavor, The BAER Project web site at www.thebaerproject.org. A nonprofit corporation established to contribute to the revitalization of neighborhoods designated as Business Improvement Districts or Redevelopment Zones, The BAER Project (Barter Assisted Economic Redevelopment) required strong online presence to promote its programs and secure continued sponsorships. As part of its platinum-level contribution to BAER, santex-net designed an interactive Web site that presents sponsorship levels, accepts donations, and directs visitors to retailers that have agreed to donate a percentage of purchases to the organization.

"By developing a system that targets districts and also providing incentives to those involved, we can make changes that over time will have an impact on district economies," says David Claggett, founder of The BAER Project, which offers community services such as a Business Attraction and Retention Program and a Welfare-to-Work Transition Assistance Program. "We are extremely proud of the courage shown by community and business leaders who have offered to help in this unique approach to improving the quality of life for children, families and visitors to our economically disadvantaged communities."

In order to keep BAER personnel engaged in the success of their new web site, santex-net developed a custom admin panel built with an open source PHP technology that allows the staff of the BAER Project to easily update content on the web site, including the addition of new sponsor logos, company news and promotional functions up to date. Santex-net will remain involved in the site's success by contributing free online marketing programs, hosting services and ongoing support and maintenance.
